Major Raines said that 80 camp boys had arrived from 12 states, from as far west as Illinois and as far south as New Orleans and Florida. Williams Speaker. 'J'he Junior order of Hrevard provided good wholesc me enter tainment for the county at tlu* Fourth of .July celebration, which was enjoyed by a large number of l>eople. A convenient train schedule made it possible for large uumbt*rs to come from all sections and spend a full day in the county seat. An interesting athletic program and good speaking constituted the pro- i gram. National Councilor C. B. Webb! was unable to be present. The principal speaker was State Dis trict Deputy Robert R. Williams of Asheville. He measured fully up to his reputaticm as an interesting speaker. He spoke on the subject of patriotism of a country and the patriotic principles of the Junior order. He took occasion to com pliment the local order upon its ex cellent work and rapid growth to a membership of I4is. Vice Councilor W. E. Breese, jr., presided at the speaking and nitro- dnced the speakers with timely re marks. In the absence of .1. P Kitchen of Asheville and Mr. \Vebb, both of whom had been ex l)ected, State Commissioner of La bor and Printing M. L. Shipman who was visiting in Hendersonville, was called into service as a speak er. His talk was informal, thougli interesting to his many Transylva nia friends.
